Dan Brinkman

Vice President, CRB, Realtor®

A Madison native, Dan Brinkman, began his career in the real estate industry in the field of property management in 1986. He progressed in the industry and in 1990, while with one of Madison's largest firms, he was responsible for the management oversight of over 1,800 apartments located in Madison and Southern Wisconsin.

In 1994 he joined DSI Real Estate Group as Manager of Property Management Services responsible for the operations of the residential and commercial property management divisions. This position continued to expand to include responsibilities in development, leasing and brokerage, until in 1998 he was named Vice President. As Vice President he oversees all operations of our business, spearheads our commercial development efforts and serves as our firm's Designated Broker. He is also active in the National Association of Realtors® and has earned the designation of Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB).

With over 20 years experience covering the entire spectrum of commercial real estate, Dan is especially good at seeing the big picture. From personnel, to investment analysis, to small business operations, Dan can lend a unique perspective on your project or property.

Mark Hasler

Real Estate Broker, MS, CCIM, Realtor®

With over 35 years in the real estate industry and a masters degree in Real Estate Investment Analysis and Appraisal, Mark is one of the area's most experienced commercial real estate professionals. He has assisted in managing a portfolio of 9,000 apartment units, helped raise equity capital to acquire more than 6,000 apartment units and brokered many office buildings, shopping centers, warehouses and development land. He is also active in office and retail leasing.

Mark began his career in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a real estate market and feasibility analyst, studying more than 70 geographic markets for prospective development opportunities. Later he was responsible for merchandising five new apartment complexes and supervising day-to-day management of thousands of units. He joined DSI Real Estate Group in 1992.

Mark is a member of the Realtors® Association of South Central Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Realtors® Association and the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association. In 1981, he earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. With his diverse experience, Mark especially enjoys addressing complex real estate challenges, such as portfolio diversification, real estate value enhancements, and tax-deferred exchanges.

Timothy Maxon

Real Estate Broker, CPM, Realtor®

As a senior Broker with DSI Real Estate Group, Tim has an extensive and varied background in the field of commercial real estate. Tim specializes in the marketing of multi-family housing, as well as sales of land, office, retail and warehouse properties, and has extensive experience with 1031 tax deferred exchange transactions. His annual gross commissions consistently rank in the top 5% nationally. Licensed as a Broker at DSI since 1988, Tim began his career in real estate in 1979 managing rental housing, advancing to regional director for National Realty Management. In that position, Tim was responsible for managing the firm's apartment complexes in the eastern half of the United States.

Tim earned the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM®) from the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is an active member of the Commercial/Investment Real Estate Association and the Greater Madison Board of Realtors®. With a commitment to quality, a thorough knowledge of the real estate industry, and an exceptional sense of follow through, Tim ensures that his clients' investment goals become realities.

Keith West

Real Estate Broker, Realtor®

Keith West joined DSI Real Estate Group in February 2008. Keith has specialized in commercial real estate for over 20 years, assisting both corporate and individual clients with acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, entitlements and asset management.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communications, Keith immediately set his sights on commercial real estate. His accomplishments in the industry stem from his straightforward and honest analysis of values and his ability to provide solutions to maximize returns. Keith works hard to identify suitable properties within the marketplace and has proven himself a reliable, knowledgeable resource for commercial real estate. Thanks to his friendly, helpful manner, Keith has enjoyed an instant and lasting popularity with his customers, which include worldwide coprorations and small investors alike.

Brad Klawitter

Director of Operations, Realtor®

Bringing 15 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience to DSI Real Estate Group, Brad provides expertise in commercial leasing, construction, property management, and marketing.

Brad is active as a Landlord Representative in the leasing and brokerage of existing and new commercial properties, primarily office and office/retail facilities located in the greater Madison area. These projects range in size from a small start-up business to a full building tenant. Over the years Brad has also developed experience in local and regional tenant representation for companies looking for single or multiple locations. Small and large companies have utilized Brad's expertise and experience in commercial real estate.

In addition to leasing and brokerage services, over the years Brad has developed a broad range of experience in the maintenance and management of commercial properties. This includes the supervision of management staff and tenant improvement construction for office and retail projects.

Brad's diversity of experience, knowledge, honesty and drive to provide the best customer service possible, provide him with a solid foundation to serve his clients in today's competitive market.

Glen Pretti

Real Estate Broker, Realtor®

Glen Pretti rejoins DSI Real Estate Group in 2008! With more than 18 years of experience in commercial real estate sales and leasing, Glen specializes in commercial/investment building acquisition, disposition and leasing.

Glen obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics from UW-Madison in 1989 and promptly began building an unparalleled reputation as a commercial broker with both DSI Real Estate Group and Coldwell Banker Commercial.

Glen has successfully closed commercial real estate sales and leases worth over $120 million and was named a member of the Coldwell Banker Commercial "Circle of Distinction" in 2004 and 2005 and was a top producer in the State of Wisconsin in 2001.

Integrity, experience and hands-on knowledge of all facets of commercial real estate are certain to fuel Glen's continued success at finding the right fit for his clients.

Tara Furst

Real Estate Associate - Realtor®

Tara Furst has been active in the real estate industry since 2003.  In 2004, she became a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Wisconsin. In 2007, she earned her Brokers designation. Her various experiences include property management, residential and commercial sales. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Tara directs the management of over 14 Homeowner Associations and 4500 Association units. She oversees all aspects of association management from daily planning and property maintenance, to long term capital planning and budgeting. She directs the employment and performance of all sub-contractors required for operation of the Homeowner Association neighborhoods. Her primary focus is to ensure positive customer relations, professional service, and beautiful neighborhoods.

Jennifer Brewer

Residential Property Manager - Condominiums and Apartments

Jen Brewer is the Residential Property Manager for condominium communities and apartments at DSI Real Estate Group. She has extensive knowledge in the maintenance, operations, and management of residential properties. She provides management oversight on over 500 residential and condominium units. Jen has held real estate management positions in the property management industry for over 5 years.

As Residential Property Manager, Jen is personally involved in the daily operations of apartment and condominium management for DSI Real Estate Group. She is responsible for maximizing all phases of performance including directing and supervising staff to achieve the financial and occupancy goals of the community, while maintaining our properties in good physical condition and appearance. In addition, she supervises daily management activity such as monitoring the performance of vendors and contractors, budgeting operating expenses, customer relations, requests and customer retention.

Michelle Holman

Assistant Property Manager

Michelle started her employment with DSI Real Estate Group in August of 2005.  Her education includes an Associate Degree in Business Management.  As Assistant Property Manager, she assists in the management and maintenance of various apartment and condominium communities, totaling over 500 units.

Her scope of work includes general management duties such as tenant inquiries, arranging maintenance, and preparation of notification letters, leases, and renewals.  Her main focus is tenant relations, retention, and evaluation of rental needs.

Michelle has a keen eye for correcting small problems before they become big ones, thus contributing substantially to our client's bottom line.  In addition to her apartment management portfolio, Michelle also assists in the management of Condominium Associations.

Heidi Adrian

Accounting Assistant

Heidi is one of the newest additions to DSI Real Estate Group, joining the firm in the latter part of 2007. Heidi's accounting education and background coupled with her vast experience in property management make her a perfect fit for understanding the operational side of the business.

Heidi is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Accounts Payable and Receivable for 40 properties currently managed by DSI. She also maintains the accounts of all apartment tenants and condominium owners.

Rose Flynn

Administrative Assistant

Rose Flynn is the Administrative Assistant at DSI Real Estate Group. She has over 11 years of administrative experience. Positioned at the front desk, Rose's primary responsibilities include performing, coordinating, and monitoring the technical and office administrative duties in support of our external and internal customers. She provides high-level administrative support by handling information requests and performing clerical functions, such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

Doug Bean

Maintenance Supervisor

Doug has been active in maintenance and construction related services for over 17 years. During his career he has implemented preventative maintenance programs, supervised maintenance staffs and administered a wide range of organizational programs. He has been involved in large-scale property renovations as well as new construction from the ground up, and is responsible for supervision of the DSI service staff. Doug has also been instrumental in developing DSI maintenance procedures, as well as insuring the property standards are maintained consistently throughout our management portfolio.
